GRAVE MISTAKE

Basking in the euphoria

Of what I had done

That cannot be undone,

I wait for the glorious hour

When I swallow the bitter pill of justice

Knowing not my doomsday

I run helter skelter

Not relishing my pranks

Nor savoring her consequences

Whatever you do remember, I’m not at fault

Suppose the breeze had not revealed it.

Only that I was not vigilant enough.

Swaying to and fro

I ought to have known.

That beautifully arrayed,

And spreading forth like a peacock,

Was the enchantress,

Meant to enchant me.

Gullibly I left my senses

And strode, straight way into the web.

Never at that point

Have I seen a logical Adam

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,

So they say

Even lust resides in the eyes of the beholder

My Bath-Sheba lieth in wait for me

As Potiphar's wife did

Like Joseph, I ought to flee

But like David, I went in unto her

Yes, I must be banished, punished, rejected, excommunicated

Or even hanged and killed

Yet the truth must not be revealed

That I ever lusted,

Or went in unto her

That I am supposed to preserve

Your words are right and magical. I want to keep them in the secret place of my heart without revealing it to another but wait, but they are too powerful to be kept there so I will take them to the public domain by sharing. Keep keeping it Right
